Please sign our petition and send the right message

Greetings,

This petition was started once I was made aware of a petition from “Change.org” to pressure Sesame Street producers to have Bert and Ernie get married. We are of the opinion that when people and organizations make a courageous decision, as Sesame Street has done, they need to have support.

We support and agree with Sesame Street’s decision not to bow to pressure to present Bert & Ernie as being married or “homosexuals”. I also feel if those who would support such a movement are trying to generate support (over 7000), those who strongly disagree should not be silent! 

The originators of this petition state “We are not asking that Sesame Street do anything crude or disrespectful,” the petition reads. “It can be done in a tasteful way (allow Bert & Ernie to marry). Let us teach tolerance of those that are different.” They also asked… that “Sesame Street” producers consider adding a transgender character to the show.

Despite this request and petition, Sesame Street’s response is…

In a statement to FoxNews.com, the non-profit Sesame Workshop said the pair are simply “best friends.”

“They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves,” the statement read.

We strongly disagree with the proposal to change the relationship established by Sesame Street between these lovable characters and support the decision of Sesame Street to not make any changes. If you are of the same opinion, please do two things…

    Yesterday I was made aware of a petition on “change.org”, which was started by a homosexual activist group to pressure the producers of Sesame Street to have Bert & Ernie marry, that’s right, get married. They stated that it was to teach tolerance to our children, and evidentially thought with the right numbers, signing a petition, they could accomplish one more goal in the nationwide plan to indoctrinate “children” to accept and embrace the counterfeit sexuality. They also wanted Sesame Street to create a “transgendered” character as well.

    It’s refreshing that Sesame Street refused to submit to this request, yet I believe anything is now possible in this culture, if there are enough names, and the “right” names, giving support to a movement. After DADT, I’m not surprised by anything any more.

    My concern regarding this issue goes way beyond two puppets. I’m concern about the movement to corrupt potentially millions of children, and thus a generation, if something like this was to actually take place. I’m concerned that the agenda to force acceptance of a lifestyle “most” in America do not and will not embrace, is now hell bent on targeting innocence and have little regard about the adverse affect this goal will have and has had on society.

    Many have told me that they are shocked and angered by this attempt to use the most recognizable children’s program to support an unrighteous endeavor, yet just speaking against it among ourselves does nothing to send the right message. With this said, I have started a petition to counteract the one that’s growing each day. I am of the opinion that those who still believe and support the family structure establish by the scriptures, can’t keep silent any more. The proliferation of the acceptance and open display of the counterfeit sexuality is only because the voice of truth has kept silent too long. However, enough is enough!

    It is said that evil will prosper if good men & women, do nothing. It’s time to stop running, cowering down like defeated weak believers, and stand proud and tall for what we know to be right. I am asking all who agree with standing up and supporting Sesame Street’s decision to keep the relationship of Bert and Ernie as it’s always been, and not submit to the request of a detrimental change, to do two things… Sign our petition http://securinghopeministry.org/?cat=13 and encourage as many others as possible to do the same. If they can get 900 plus already supporting their agenda, their petition, and it’s wrong, why can’t we surpass their numbers because our cause is “right”? Help us send the right message, sign up, it’s free.
